VMF, MDCF partner for Children’s Day celebration
The Victor Moore Foundation (VMF), a non-profit championing quality education for underserved communities, joined hands with the Makoko Development Children Foundation (MDCF) to make this year’s Children’s Day an unforgettable experience for over 200 children in Makoko, Lagos.
The programme provided a day of thrilling fun, games and reading competitions. It nurtured a sense of belonging and celebration amongst the children.
VMF played a pivotal role by donating essential school supplies, stationery, and educational materials for the event’s participants.

The Makoko Development Children Foundation, a community-driven organisation, operates a support school for orphans and underprivileged children in Makoko, a waterfront settlement in Lagos. They provide free education to children from various homes within the community.
VMF’s partnerships extend beyond Children’s Day celebrations. Driven by a mission to dismantle barriers faced by inner-city communities, the foundation empowers young people across various communities by providing them with the tools and resources needed to thrive.
Ambassador Wheduto Urban January, founder of the Makoko Development Children Foundation, commended VMF’s steadfast vision of supporting children in underserved communities.
